Chapter 15
March Of The Self-Endeared
_______________________________________________________________
The protest march on Washington, consisting primarily of Caucasians and Negroes, who feel their civil rights and fair access to the economic system is impaired, has been planned and trumpeted in the press for months. Many thousands are gathered in front of the Jefferson Memorial, and volunteers circulate throughout the throng passing out pamphlets, most of which are headed:
Restore The Rights Of The Middle Class
Stop The Restoration's Effort To Merge Church And Government
Mixed in with the volunteers is a number
of other individuals passing out marijuana. It is unclear exactly where
they stand in relation to organizers of the protest. Regardless, the Zonno
has long recognized that loss of social status feeds unrest and if properly manipulated,
can be shaped into riots. Turning the attitude of whole segments of
society through drug usage and well-advertised support of the lobbies of the
NAARR (National American Association To Recover Rights) has been yet another
means that has polarized the United States into warring factions, each
accusing the others for decline in the economy and failing earnings.
After several preliminary speakers,
Kingsley Luthermann takes the podium and looks over the screaming crowd. A
hush gradually falls but he continues his stare for a few moments in dead
silence. In a very forceful and resentful tone, his speech begins.
"You might think you see me standing before you now but I, as well as many
of you, no longer exist - at least in the life styles we worked so hard to
achieve. We all have been consumed in the nightmare of corporate greed and
are about to be trampled over by a bunch of Neo-Nazis who claim they are working
to restore it all through the Church - a church I might add they found
necessary to create themselves."
"Many of us have seen our jobs lost and shipped out to
some foreign country. Our dreams went with them and now rest somewhere in
Oriental sweatshops that all fit very neatly into the economic theory of progressive
statistics. With that, we have become a statistic and are imprisoned
somewhere among the growing percentages of the unemployed. We're steadily
drowning under the increasing flow of immigrants that have upset the entire
economic system for the worker but put dollars in the pockets of the fat cats
who now have innovative ideas as to how more jobs can be cut and profits
increased. Who cares about product quality and the plight of the American
worker as long as the rich do not suffer, as long as they have their lavish
lifestyle with yachts and women in those scant bathing suits."
"And what should we do - hope our unemployment
checks somehow do not stop when the state tells us they will? Maybe we
should write our state representatives and then watch them fight like cats and
dogs across firm party and partisan lines to sustain some political idea and to
hell with those who elected them. No, we must now unite in the same spirit
as the civil rights movement in the power we have to achieve change through
non-violent protest. We must demand the government take action to gives us
back the lives that have been confiscated by diverse social theory - certainly
not in the doctrine of The Restoration that caters only to street people
and those not educated enough to see through what they have come to call
nationalism. It's all only a mask to gain power and eventually impose Church law they will skillfully direct to support their goals. And what
are these goals? They want to put the Church into government; and although
they will never admit it, they want to destroy all but the Christian
belief. Through what they call Crusades, they want to govern the economic
system under a calculated Doctrine Of Central Control under a carefully managed
system that will in time destroy the free enterprise system and enslave what was
once a free people under a nationalism that can only appeal to the emotions of
the ignorant."
"Think of it. What will happen to those who refuse
to submit to such a system? We already know. Look at the violent
attacks, for which we know they were responsible, on those who do not share
their beliefs. Today, I'm pleading with America - we must come out of the
nightmare of uncontrolled immigration and a radical influence to regain our
rightful positions in the workplace, and if we organize these efforts, we have
the power to do it."
Just then, there is a commotion towards the back of the crowd. A number of small groups of Chytinos and Indicos are walking headlong into the mass of people and have banners reading:
"Nillas and Niggers - your times are past."
"You all must submit to the new America."
"The abused races of the world are rising up against you."
Suddenly, screams ring out, and there
are several gunshots causing the crowd to begin running wildly in no organized
direction and trampling over one another. As the crowd disperses, there
are many laying on the ground, some with blood-soaked clothes. Somehow,
the Chytinos and Indicos, long rival gangs in drug trafficking and petty crime,
seem to have united in a common cause of hate against the Malatas, Negroes and
Caucasians. Many of the attackers have knives and are running towards the
speaker's platform prompting the several bands to drop their instruments and begin
a headlong sprint towards the Jefferson Memorial. The attackers reach the
platform, set it on fire and hoist the flags of Mexico, China and North Korea.
Sirens are roaring down Pennsylvania Avenue but the response
vehicles are halted by a volley of automatic weapons fire. Tires are blown
out sending the vehicles plowing into the fleeing crowd, crushing people
underneath until they crash into trees along the sidewalk. Drivers are
slumped over the steering wheels, and the horns are blowing.
Gradually, the screaming stops, the crowd disappears and
there is only a scene of devastation with many bodies on the ground, the speaker's
platform in flames and a dense cloud of black smoke obscuring the Capital
Building. The gangs remain at the flaming platform for a few minute,
shouting in foreign languages until they are picked up by several vans, leaving
only the flags of Mexico, China and North Korea in front of the platform which
soon collapses.

The telephone rings in the C3 section at Restoration
headquarters. The voice is to the point and only says, "It's
started."
The Department of Homeland Security immediately issues a red
alert, advises everyone to be cautious but not to let the threat of violence
alter their normal activities. Although no curfew is imposed, over the
next several weeks, gangs begin random vandalism in many larger cities
throughout the country. At night, the streets are completely empty - save
the sounds of foreign voices and sounds of broken glass in the store
fronts.
